This Privacy Policy explains how Arĩ AI School ("Arĩ", "we") collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you use arischool.africa ("the Platform"). The Platform is operated by Wangari Njoroge, trading as Arĩ AI School, based in Nanyuki, Kenya.
This policy applies to Students, Coaches, and visitors to the adult platform. If you are a parent or guardian using Arĩ for Kids, a separate Kids Privacy Policy governs how we handle your child's data — see /kids/privacy-policy.
We comply with the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019, and apply the same standard of care to users accessing the Platform from other jurisdictions, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation where applicable.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account information: your name, email address, phone number, and password when you register as a Student or Coach.
2.2 Profile information: information you choose to add to your profile, such as goals, interests, or (for Coaches) qualifications and bio.
2.3 Booking and payment information: session bookings, course enrolments, and payment records processed through Pesapal. Arĩ does not store your full card details — these are handled directly by Pesapal.
2.4 Communications: messages sent through the Platform, community forum posts, and support enquiries.
2.5 AI Practice Zone activity: prompts and interactions you have with the AI Practice Zone, used to improve your learning experience.
2.6 Technical information: device type, browser, IP address, and usage data collected automatically when you use the Platform, for security and performance purposes.
3. How We Use Your Information
3.1 To create and manage your account, and to connect Students with Coaches for booked Sessions.
3.2 To process payments and send booking confirmations, reminders, and receipts.
3.3 To operate the AI Practice Zone, community forum, and self-paced courses.
3.4 To communicate with you about your account, Sessions, or Platform updates.
3.5 To improve the Platform, understand how it is used, and keep it secure.
3.6 To meet legal obligations, including tax, fraud prevention, and regulatory requirements in Kenya.
5. Data Storage & Security
5.1 Your data is stored securely using Supabase, with access restricted through authentication and role-based permissions.
5.2 Payment processing is handled by Pesapal under its own security standards; Arĩ does not store full card numbers.
5.3 While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no online platform can guarantee absolute security. We will notify affected users promptly if a data breach occurs that puts your information at risk.
6. Your Rights
6.1 You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information. Contact us at hello@arischool.africa to make a request.
6.2 You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
6.3 You may withdraw consent for optional communications (such as marketing emails) at any time.
6.4 You may close your account at any time by contacting us. Some information may be retained where required for legal, tax, or dispute-resolution purposes.
8. Children's Data

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or a notice on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
